The draw for the first-round draw for the League Cup will take place next Tuesday at 10am.and the Latics are an unseeded team.
The draw is regionalised with Athletic facing a northern section of the 36 seeded sides which include all the Championship teams and the top 12 teams from last year’s League One table. League One fixtures are out the following week.
The ties take place in the week commencing 10th August, a week after the season opens.
