Flahavan Goes Back

Last updated : 30 December 2009 By The Chairman

Darryl Flahavan has left Boundary Park and gone back to Crystal Palace. Flahavan suffered a fractured cheekbone sustained in the 2-2 draw in Athletic's last game away to Wycombe Wanderers. The fracture will require surgery and he will be out of action for approximately six weeks which will end his time at Boundary Park.

The keeper impressed during his spell at the club and he added some stability to what was a fragile defence in his eight appearances. His return will bring a lifeline to deposed keeper Dean Brill who may now take back the reigns although manager Dave Penney will still be scouring the market for a back up.
