Pre-season friendlies are to be arranged against Stalybridge, Preston and Sheffield Wednesday, along with a reserve fixture against Manchester United’s under-21s side.
John Sheridan is hoping to bring in players this summer and said, “I have a report of who is available. It will be difficult - a lot of sides are releasing a lot of players, so that means a lot of sides are trying to bring a lot in as well. You have to make sure you get the right players in for the sort of system you want to play. If you are organised, with balance to your team - and have someone who puts the ball in the back of the net - then you can do all right."
