Griffin to go out on loan

Adam Griffin is to join Oxford United for the next month on loan. The 21 year old will reunite with his old boss Brian Talbot in an attempt to gain enough experience and confidence to win back his place in Athletic's first team. Griffin has only had one call up as unused sub in a disappointing season whereas he was almost an ever present in Brian Talbots set up when he was at Boundary Park.

Griffin impressed enough in a reserve team outing for Oxford against MK Franchise to convince the Oxford Board to take a gamble on a move which may even become permanent when the transfer window reopens in January.

Griff has found himself out of favour with Ronnie Moore and has been slowly languishing in the reserve team but Talbot has been seeking a left sided player in a bid to boost their push for promotion in League Two. Griffin will move to the Kassam Stadium later this week when finances have been sorted out.
