Hall has request turned down

22 year old Danny Hall has requested to leave Athletic on loan before the transfer deadline this month due to lack of first team chances at Boundary Park. Hall has made just 11 appearances in Athletic’s first team but manager Ronnie Moore has turned down his request. As Hall will be out of contract in the summer, he is desperate to get a regular place at a league club.

Since Moore took over in March last year, the youth at the club have had little chance to shine at the first team level with just a handful of players being given a starting place but not on a regular basis. Hall finds himself way down the pecking order behind the likes of Chris Swailes, Will Haining, Guy Branston, Terrell Forbes and Gareth Owen but Moore insists, “At this stage, I don’t think letting go of Danny Hall is in our best interests. That might change, but I’ve told him he’s staying at the moment.”
