Hall to be back in action sooner than expected

Danny Hall is making excellent progress from his knee injury and hopes to be back in action by October. Originally he had been told that he could miss the whole season. Hall said, “We thought about the operation, but the chances of it being successful were only 50-50. I might have wasted six months and been in the same position as now, so it was better to take the conservative route. I’ve worked through the summer with Lee Nobes (club physio) and I’ve started running this week, which is a relief after being stuck in the gym. I’m told the problem should wear off over the next year or so. Hopefully then I can get on with my career.”

My head was all over the place when they said it could take so long. I knew this was a dodgy injury, but you don’t really expect to be given news like that. The timing was especially bad because Ronnie Moore arrived at the club and I had to pull out during his first training session. He has never seen me kick a ball. There’s so much competition here now that I need to get back and prove myself as soon as possible.”
