Hudderfield want Beckett

Huddersfield Town are making a brave attempt to lure Luke Beckett back to the Galpharm Stadium. Beckett scored six times in seven appearances for the Terriers when he was on loan before joining Athletic but Huddersfield were unable to meet the demands of Beckett's contract when his loan came to an end.

Town boss Peter Jackson confirmed the interest, "Luke is a player we would be very interested in but we understand Oldham have an option on him until mid June. Nothing can be done until that option is either exercised or it lapses, which is why we haven't been in a position to push anything at this stage. Should he become an option, then we would have to look at the whole financial package. If the money side of it was right with the club and Luke's agent then he is certainly someone we would be interested in bringing to this club because he's a quality striker."
