Hughes has talks with Notts County

Last season's leading scorer Lee Hughes has had talks with League Two side Notts County although it has been suggested that the talks were not satisfactory and have now broken down. County manager Ian McParland said, "Lee was here on Friday and we made him an offer which he went away to think about. His agent has come back to us with some figures which are a little too high, but we're still keen to see if we can come to an agreement and we will be planning more dialogue this week with Lee."

Since then Hughes has travelled to his former club Kidderminster Harriers to discuss the possibility of rejoining them if a deal can be worked out.
