Latics striker Lee Hughes has undergone his surgery for a double hernia operation and the news is that it has been a success. The 31 year old has only made three appearances for the team and it is expected that he will be out of action for at least another two weeks, possibly three.

John Sheridan commented, "The operation went fine, and Lee is now recovering. I'm looking to have him back fit as quickly as possibly, and hopefully he can slot back in."
