Lee Hughes is likely to be out until the end the season. After an operation for a double hernia the 31 year old striker has struggled with groin injuries and he has now been told by a specialist that he must undergo adductor tendon release surgery.

The rehabilitation for this type of operation is around three months which means that his realistic aim is to be fit for pre season training before the 2008-09 season. Hughes' last appearance was in the win over Carlisle on January 29th.
