Hughes to be offered a permanent deal

On loan midfielder Mark Hughes is being offered a permanent contract at Boundary Park after hearing that he won't be offered another deal at White Hart Lane at the end of the current season. Hughes has yet to hit the back of the net but his performances have been sound and he has done a lot of the spade work in the middle of the park for the men around him.

He was offered a deal last month before his loan was expected but he failed to agree personal terms. If Hughes can be signed on a permanent deal it will allow manager Brian Talbot to bring in another loan player.
