Improvement hoped for

Paul Dickov hopes that his team continue to pick up more points after the surprise 1-0 win at Hartlepool in midweek. He said, “It's no use winning at Sheffield United and Hartlepool and then not backing it up. We are desperate to win a game at home to thank the fans, and not just the 68 who travelled to Hartlepool in midweek. We want to give them something to shout about after losing our last two home games.”

Bournemouth have just come off a depressing run which prompted Dickov to say, “Their run was worst than ours as they hadn't won in seven or eight games before Tuesday. We know it will be a tough test as it was at Bournemouth earlier in the season. I know how Lee likes his team to play and that is good football which will suit us. If we show the same determination that we showed at Hartlepool, when we weren't at our best, and add to that how we can play with the attacking players we have, I am confident we will win the game. It is so important we build on Tuesday night and push for the top half of the table.”
