Athletic have been hit with another training ground injury. Will Haining has injured his ankle and will miss all the pre-season friendly games. The incident happened when the 23 year old was involved in a tackle with Marc Tierney. Haining had to immediately retire from the training session and the ankle is now heavily swollen. The news is bad for Athletic and for Haining personally, as he only made 14 appearances last term due to a succession of similar injuries.
