The Latics played a 4-4-2 formation and won comfortably against the host team by 7-0 to book their place in the final of the Isle of Man Tournament. The Latics dominated the first half and took the lead in the 13
th. Minute through Chris Killen after a fine header from Chris Porter (pictured). Porter was outstanding and he scored Oldham's second with a header in the 28
th. minute. Just before the half-time whistle Porter completed his brace and Facey scored to put the Latics 4-0 ahead.
The second half continued much the same and the Latics had an early appeal for a penalty turned down before Killen got his second on the hour. Griffin made it 6-0 in the 77
th. minute and the same player completed the scoring in the last minute with a well taken free kick which went in off the inside of the post. Although the standard of opposition was questionable, it was a comprehensive display from the boys in blue.
