Latics boss Lee Johnson has offered Johnson Clarke-Harris an 18-month extension to his contract. The boss said, “He has learned a lot this season and I think next year will be the one where it really clicks for him. Technically, he’s getting better all the time. His right foot is better and we do a lot of work with him on that. He is not quite confident yet to try it out in a match - you have to remember how young he is; everybody forgets, because he is so big.”
Clarke-Harris is 19 year old and arrived at Boundary Park from stints at Coventry City, Peterborough, Southend and Bury.
