Johnson in shock

Lee Johnson admitted that he felt that he had been mugged after Leyton Orient left Boundary Park with a share of the points. Charlie MacDonald scored against his previous employers to give the Latics a deserved first half lead but the leveller in the second half by Shaun Batt looked well offside when it was controversially given by the officials.

The Latics manager said, "It doesn't feel like a defeat, it just feels like we've been mugged. It was a fantastic performance from the lads, but again we've been done by poor officiating. There's not much we can do about it now, but Batt was offside, he touched the shot, so what can you do? We really took the game to them in the first half. We've hit the post, taken a couple of shots from range, and they were getting frustrated because we'd penned them in their own half. We scored the goal, and then in the second half you see what's happened, and that's just the way things are going for us. I know if we continue with performances like that, though, the results will start to turn. In 10 games I think six have been drastically affected by poor officiating. They know they got it wrong, but what can you do?”
