Jones' leg not broken

Daniel Jones, who was taken off in Saturday's 2-2 draw at Peterborough, has not broken his leg as was first feared. His x-ray's on his injured ankle have come back clear although the area still remains severely swollen.

Athletic's head physio Marc Czuczman confirmed, "Daniel's ankle is massive at the moment and we will have to wait for the swelling to go down. When it has we will send him for a scan and take it from there."

At his moment it is unlikely that he will figure in this Saturday's home fixture against Leyton Orient so Kelvin Lomax is on stand-by to fill in for him at left-back. Lomax looks likely to resume the role he took when he replaced Jones at Peterborough's London Road.
