Lee Johnson has signed former Bury and Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Mike Jones. Jones began his career at Tranmere Rovers and has signed a two-year deal with Athletic after spending the last two seasons at Crawley Town.
Jones commented, “I'm very excited about the prospect of what could be happening here next season. The manager is very ambitious and I'm excited to get started. His enthusiasm to get me into the club was one of the reasons why I signed for the club. He sees me as a central player and he thinks he can improve my game so hopefully we can give it a good go next year and be up there. I want to excite the fans and give Oldham a good season next year. I want to score goals, get assists and make things happen.”
