Kalala goes on loan

Jean-Paul Kalala, Athletic's Congolise international, has joined former club Grimsby Town on loan until 3rd. January. Kalala was in and out of the side last season and has found it impossible to break into the first team this season, and with the club going great guns there is no immediate future for the 26 year old at Oldham.

Kalala started his English football career at Blundell Park and scored a spectacular goal for Grimsby which knocked out Premiership Tottenham Hotspur from the Carling Cup in 2005. He also spent a successful time at Yeovil Town and helped them reach the League One Play-off Final but them moved to Boundary Park in the summer of 2007.

Grimsby are currently third from the bottom of League Two without a win and need some kind of miracle to start their seson off.
