Kilkenny out for two months?

News that Neil Kilkenny could be out for up to eight weeks has been given to the club. Kilkenny went for a scan on his injured thigh and the results have confirmed the worst. The on loan midfielder has torn his thigh muscle and the best scenario is that he will be out for around six weeks.

Kilkenny told the official website, "I've been told I will be out for six to eight weeks, but hopefully I can get back before then. But obviously I don't want to rush back and then have to pull out again injured, so we'll see how it goes. They originally said three weeks but I went for the scan the other day and that showed a tear in the thigh muscle right from the top to near the bottom."

"I've had it for a while and it came back in the first five minutes of the Bristol Rovers game, but I carried on. I couldn't run at all and was dragging my leg behind me. They broke from corners a couple of times and I couldn't catch their guy when I ran back to cover. Before I couldn't really sprint but had a certain change of pace, but on Saturday I didn't even have a change of pace. It had gone completely."

All at Oldham FootyMad wish Neil a speedy recovery.
