Injury prone Chris Killen is already doubtful for Saturday's home game against Gillingham after he gashed his forehead in the defeat at Nottingham Forest. He received an elbow in the 67th. minute and had to have nine stitches inserted into the wound.

Latics boss Ronnie Moore said, "It is from his eye up to his forehead. It wasn't very nice to be fair. I didn't see it and you can only go by what the players say but Chris says it was deliberate. It is disappointing but I won't be taking it any further because the referee will say he didn't see it. How many times do you hear that? Chris won't be able to head the ball but he can run and do things like that so we will have to wait sand see for Saturday."
