Latics fans and Eintracht Frankfurt fans have an association going back some 25 years. The fans travel to visit their sister clubs on a regular basis. The latest trip involved the Germans travelling to Millwall to see Athletic's recent defeat. It generally involves more expense for the German fans as they only pay around four pounds to watch Frankfurt at home whereas it costs more like twenty pounds when they make a trip to Britain.
