Latics and Trotters in stand-off

The Latics and Bolton Wanderers are locked in a stand-off cash row over financial arrangements. The Boundary Park outfit claim that the Trotters still owe them money for the 4,300 away tickets sold for the 1-0 win last month. Mark Moisley fears that the missing funds will impact on the Latics ability to pay their bills over summer.

The Wanderers claim that they are also owed money from Oldham over the loan fee for winger Chris Taylor which they claim is now four months overdue. Taylor, who has a year left on his contract at Burnden Park, was brought back to Boundary Park by John Sheridan in January and he made a total of 16 appearances.

Moisley stated, “We do struggle with cash flow at times and summer is the worst period of all. We don’t obviously have the revenue coming in from the gates. Unfortunately, we are still owed money by a couple of clubs, one significant one that brought a big following here in April. We have still not received the ticket money from them and it has a big impact on us because we have got to find the salaries over the next three months the same way we do throughout the season.”
