Athletic have entered into a record breaking sponsorship deal will local development company Hillstone Developments. The deal will bring £250,000 into the club over the next three years which may give new boss John Sheridan a boost when he enters into the transfer market. The company's logo will be displayed on the team shirts as part of the shirt sponsorship deal.

Sean Jarvis said, “Not only does it represent the highest level of sponsorship the club has seen, but it also enables us to forward plan for future activity in respect of merchandising and the design of new kits. Some of the money will be put towards strengthening the team as well as being used for the business side of the club. How it will be divided up has still to be debated, but it will be a case of trying to find the right balance. Hillstone did sponsor the club's shorts for our two TV games last season and we felt it was important to have a local company on board. We are more than delighted with the deal and we are looking forward to a long and happy relationship.”

Craig Halliwell, the Managing Director of Hillstone Developments, commented, “We are a growing business, with our head office based in Oldham and we see ties with Latics as an important part of our continued growth. With our name emblazoned across the front of the Athletic kit for the next three seasons it will provide us with a great platform to build on our growing profile.”
