The Latics head off for a training and bonding session in Portugal with the warning that they will quickly realise that they are not on holiday. With two training sessions per day and the possibility of two behind-closed doors friendlies the boss is keen to continue the fitness build up to the coming season.
Dickov commented, "It is a good opportunity to go away and get some good training in the sun and we will also have good facilities. The players will be working hard in training and hopefully we will also have two games. It is a new group of players and, as well as the training, it is important they spend time together. We are also looking to build team spirit and we will be doing that on this trip."
