19 year old David Knight has joined Athletic on loan to act as emergency goalkeeping cover. Knight kept two clean sheets in the two-legged 2003/04 Youth Cup Final when Middlesbrough won the trophy and although he has not yet made a senior appearance he has been substitute for the first-team.
The youngster spent a spell on loan at Darlington last season and made three appearances. He is expected to make his debut at home to Carlisle on Sunday. The obvious question is after Day and Night who's next, Tommy Twilight?
