The Latics have been linked with Nottingham Forest's 24-year-old forward Zach Clough as new coach Laurent Banide looks for options to replace Callum Lang.
Clough moved from Bolton Wanderers to the City Ground in 2017 but found it difficult to establish himself. He went back to Bolton on loan and also played 13 games on loan at Rochdale last season.
