Athletic are hoping to return to winning ways again at Bradford after their disasterous loss at Rotherham in midweek. The loss leaves the Latics still in 7th. spot but three points behind a play-off spot. An inferior goal difference could act as another point less if it comes to it. Bradford are unbeaten in their last six home games but that includes five draws. They also have the worst home record in the division. Athletic won 3-1 on their last visit to Valley Parade.

John Sheridan takes charge of the team as Ronnie Moore is "having personal problems", Sheridan said, "I am surprised Bradford haven't done better as they were one of my tips to be pushing for a play-off place before the season started. They are a decent side and have experienced players such as David Wetherall and Steve Claridge, but seem to be drawing too many games. I have also been impressed with Ben Muirhead and Danny Cadamarteri from what I have seen of them."
