Latics lose out financially

Simon Corney has explained to the Oldham Chronicle just how financially devastating the recent match postponements have been to the club. Last Saturday's postponement against Leyton Orient was caused by ice and snow covering the Boundary Park playing surface and surrounding areas of the ground. In addition to the postponement of the Boxing Day home clash against Tranmere Rovers, the two non events could lose the club up to £100,000. Gate losses are the obvious loss but the loss of catering also adds a burden to the club losses as much of the food had to be wasted.

Exeter City on 12th. December was the last time the Latics played at Boundary Park and another consideration is that the admission prices for the Exeter game were set at just £2 for adults and £1 for concessions which has also had a big bearing on lack of income.
