Athletic have released information that they are showing interest in striker Gareth Taylor who has just been released by Nottingham Forest as a free agent. Taylor is 33 years old and manager Ronnie Moore said, βHe is someone who can lead the line well and knows how to score goals. He's the kind of striker we're looking for, so I've registered our interest.β Taylor has previously played for Bristol Rovers, Port Vale, QPR, Crewe and Burnley and is a bustling 6ft 2in. He scored four times for Crewe when on loan and it is rumoured that they are also showing interest in the Welsh International.
