Latics to sign new striker?

Latics boss John Sheridan is still hopeful of bringing in another striker to replace the void that last seasons leading scorer, Luke Beckett, will leave.

Shez has confessed that he "still had a couple of irons in the fire" and quoted, "I've got one or two things currently in the pipeline. There's a couple of faces I want to bring in. We definitely still need another central defender and a striker. We'll also be checking out a couple of trialists in the reserve game at Stalybridge."
