League One Player of the Month (August)

Chris Taylor duly received a nomination for League One Player of the Month following the midfielder's best ever start to a football league campaign. The tricky winger scored 4 goals in 4 outings for John Sheridan's side including a brace at title favourites Leeds. More astonishingly, Taylor is currently playing out of position as his more natural side is down the right.
Taylor was up against Leeds' Jermaine Beckford, Carlisle's Danny Graham, and Leicester's Matty Fryatt but it was Graham who came out on top after netting five times throughout August including a hat-trick against Yeovil.
Elsewhere, Preston's Richard Chaplow picked up the Championship award, while in League Two the award went to Dagenham and Redbridge's Solomon Taiwo
