Athletic have given Kelvin Lomax a new deal after his recent impressive displays. Previously on a temporary contract, his latest deal will keep him at Boundary Park until the Summer of 2008. Lomax is one of the players released by former boss Ronnie Moore but the 20 year old right back has forced his way back into manager John Sheridans plans. Kelvin replaced the injured Simon Charlton on Saturday and turned in a useful performance at left back. Sheridan commented, "Kelvin's come in and done very well. He's been in and around the first team and is a very intelligent footballer, the kind of player I like."
