Athletic’s latest transfer target is Cardiff City’s Josh Low, a 23 year old right sided midfielder or wing-back. Low started his career with hometown-club Bristol Rovers, where he made his league debut at the age of 17 and played forWales under-21’s. He then joined Leyton Orient before moving to the Bluebirds in November 1999 on a free.
He made 24 appearances for Cardiff last season but fell out of favour during the run in to the play-offs. Low felt that the writing was on the wall when he was left out of the squad for a pre-season tour of Scotland. Alan Hardy said, “A number of players are being considered, but it’s fair to say we are interested in him.” It is expected that Low may command a fee.
