Loyal fan dies

One of Oldham Athletic's most loyal supporters died early on Monday morning of last week. Clifford Eckersley, a former referee from Failsworth, passed away aged 79. Clifford had supported the club since the sixties or even earlier as his family are not quite sure.
Latics was his life and he even turned out at most of the reserve matches as well as the first team games. Clifford's family feel that the Latics were also a part of their family and all at FootyMad send sincere condolences to everyone who knew Clifford for their great loss.
