The club are still in their pursuit of the new management team for next season and former striker Shefki Kuqi could be the lead figure. Kuqi has already been in negotiation with the club and hopes for the role of head coach with Sean O'Driscoll becoming the newly-created role of director of football.
The ex-Finland international scored 16 goals for Athletic in 2011/12 and he began his management career at FC Honka. He is now the boss and part-owner of PK-35 Vantaa, a team which he took into the top Finnish division.
