Mark Arber goes out on loan to his old club.

Peterborough are currently 21st in League One - just four places behind Latics - so Mark will be hoping to drag them out of the relegation zone. Hopefully not at the expense of his current club!

Arber said that Notts County were also interested in signing him on loan, but preferred to play in the higher standard of League One. Arber also still has his old house in Peterborough, so he says it "probably suited both parties for me to get some games over the Christmas period and live at my old house.

He is also looking forward to some first team football ("I'm a professional footballer who wants to play football"). Arber has had a disappointing start to his career at Latics, and has not represented the first team since the defeat to Torquay on November 6th, but has played some games for the reserves.

The final paperwork has been sorted now. Oldham have allowed Arber to appear in Peterborough's FA Cup, but not to play against themselves on the 28th December.
