As anticipated, Mark Hughes has put pen to paper on a new contract at Boundary Park. The two year deal is a boost to the Latics after he impresses whilst on loan from Tottenham Hotspurs. Mark told the official website, “I am delighted to have now agreed the new contract and am looking forward to the new season ahead. I always enjoyed my time here at Boundary Park and I am settled. The supporters have been brilliant here. They have made me feel really welcome since day one. I believe it will be a very exciting season. Hopefully, next May we will be at the top side of the table rather than the bottom.”
