French midfielder Mohamed Maouche has signed a two year deal at the club and is excited to be experiencing English football. He said, “I’m very happy and very excited to begin a new challenge with Oldham Athletic. I’ve played for the last two season in Ligue 2 in France and before that I played in Switzerland but I came from the academy of St Etienne. I have played well in the last two years but the past is behind me now and I’m looking to improve myself here at Oldham. I think [to play in England] is a dream for a a lot of players, I have never been here before so it’s a big challenge and I hope to show good things to the fans.”
“In League One there are some famous teams who have played in the Premier League so it’s a tough division. I think I’m a technical player, I love to do the last pass to my striker and the wingers, maybe a playmaker. I like to score like everyone but most important is to work and put my strikers in the best position.”
