Midfielders are next target

After making his first two signings, manager John Sheridan is hoping to add a couple of midfielders to his new squad. Shez has confirmed that contracts have been offered to the two unknown players and they are currently considering them along with deals from other interested clubs. He is also hoping to bring in another striker and a centre-half before the season starts.

Sheridan said, “Midfield is an area where strength in depth is very important, so that's what I'm concentrating on at the moment. I've got Gary McDonald, Richie Wellens, Mark Hughes, Jason Taylor and Chris Taylor, but I'm hoping these other players will join them. They are talking to other clubs so nothing is certain, but I'm fairly optimistic they will sign for us. Once I add the striker and defender, we'll be done. We'll have plenty of cover and I'll be happy with my squad.”
