Molango and Howarth go home

Athletic have parted company with Maheta Molango as he has been released at the end of his one month loan spell. The release came because he did not do enough to impress manager John Sheridan although he had scored the only goal of the season before the Bournemouth game on Saturday. Molango made six appearances for the Latics, three of them as substitute.

Goalkeeper Chris Howarth is another player to leave Boundary Park. Howarth has returned to Bolton Wanderers as his one month loan spell has expired. The on loan keeper picked up a thigh strain in his fourth game for the Latics and is still receiving treatment.
