Ronnie Moore, commenting on the Bournemouth win said, "It was a poor first half, but you are going to get that. You can't be brilliant all the time and we haven't been since the start of the season. We weren't good in the first half and I don't blame the fans for having a pop. I said at half-time it looked like a 0-0 but I thought the game was there to be won and I asked the lads if they wanted to win it. In the second half at least they came out and had a go, I don't think anybody can complain that we didn't have enough chances."

We also tried to get it down and pass it because in the first half everything was long. We never got the ball down and it must have had a headache! We kept pumping it up and they kept heading it back. I said at half-time that, as the home side, we should set the tempo and go out and bully them a bit It was the second game running we had kept a clean sheet and if we keep doing that we will create chances. Overall, we weren't brilliant but it it was a hard-fought, hard-earned victory."
