Athletic chalked up their biggest league win of the season in last Saturdays visit to Bradford. A delighted Ronnie Moore said, "We would have murdered any side on that form. We gave ourselves a little fright when they pulled a goal back just after half-time. We had talked in the dressing room about the need to keep it tight, then we concede. It was a sigh of relief, if you like, when Luke Beckett got the fourth goal to put the game beyond doubt. But it was the best we have played away and it is just a pity we could not have done it on Tuesday at Millmoor as well. But we are not greedy, we have bounced back. The lads showed the right attitude and the commitment was magnificent. The support was also good and it was nice for a change not to let them down, they had done that at Rotherham. The players knew how disappointed I was but they certainly repaid me with this performance. If their keeper hasn't made a couple of good saves we would have come off with four or five goals."

"It looks like the promotion race will go right down to the wire, I hope it does. The pressure is on us and we have to make sure we stay on track. We have to win games and that will have sides looking over their shoulders. If we had taken something out of the game at Rotherham we would have been in an even better position. But that game is dead and buried now, so let's hope we can get back on track with another five or six wins. There is no doubt there are enough points to play for."

Speaking about striker Luke Beckett, Ronnie continued, "He knows where the goal is and was sharp all afternoon. His first one was a great finish and with the second he had so much time to think what he was going to do before sticking it. Luke was disappointed afterwards not to have come off with a hat-trick. The keeper made a save at his feet right at the death and if that had gone in it would have been the icing on the cake."
