Moore not happy - again!

The Latics finished off a disappointing seaon with a 1-1 draw against Scunthorpe on Saturday and the manager was not impressed with what he saw. He said, "We looked like we were ready to wave the white flag and get it over with. It was as if the 90 minutes was getting in the way. I told the players at half-time that they looked like they had booked their holidays and were ready to go. But there were 5,000 supporters who had paid good money and if I had been one of them I would not have been happy. They wanted us to have a go, finish on a high and see us win 2-0 or 3-0, whatever. But I have said it before, there are not enough winners and it has got to change. It doesn't hurt them enough."

"This was the only game in our division with nothing on it, no promotion or relegation, and that was summed up from start to finish. I was disappointed that we couldn't push on. How many shots did we have? How many chances did we have? Not many and we were playing at home. The ball had a headache in the first half, it was never on the floor. I have never seen a ball kicked so high and so long in a lot of games and we have to put it right. They are getting decent money to earn a good living and keep themselves fit, that's what annoys me. It was an awful game and didn't look like we even enjoyed it."
