Moore on Oldham's win against MK Dons

Latics Manager Ronnie Moore admitted that Oldham Athletic were lucky to beat Milton Keynes Dons today. They beat the bottom-placed side in League One with difficulty. Luke Beckett scored with their only shot of the match, and MK Dons hit the bar in the last minute, as well as having a shot cleared off the line by Marc Tierney.

However, the game reflected the comments of Ronnie Moore before the Hartlepool encounter, when he said that it did not matter how well Oldham played, as long as they won.

Moore was quick to point out how fortunate Oldham were. He said to the Oldham website, "Luck was definitely on our side and we got out of jail. We can't be brilliant all of the time and we have been a bit patchy for much of the season. We could not have been any worse in the second half because in the opening 45 minutes it looked like we were still on the team bus".

Two Oldham defenders, Rob Scott and Gareth Owen, limped off in the game and had to be substituted by Ronnie Moore. There is no details yet of how long they may be sidelined for.
