After Sunday's draw with lowly Chasetown, Athletic manager Ronnie Moore told the official website, "You would not have believed they were some 160 places and seven divisions below us. but that is what the FA Cup is all about. It was pretty nervy near the end but now we know what sort of side they are we can work on a few things. We allowed them to play at a tempo that suited them when we should have been dictating the pace and making it quicker. One or two of our players took it easy thinking they just had to turn up and we had warned them about complacency. There are no easy games in the FA Cup."

"Our keeper didn't have many saves to make and we had a couple of efforts kicked off the line. But full credit to Chasetown, they earned the right of a replay. Now we have a chance to put it right in that game. I had never even heard of Chasetown and the competition has been a fairytale for them. They have had their day, let's hope we will have ours back at Boundary Park. They probably played as well as they can and I some how don't think they can do it again. It was a typical cup game and I can't wait for the next one. Maybe the result is a sign that we can go on and do well."
