Ronnie Moore is still upbeat and believes that his side is still capable of a finishing the season as a top two team with automatic promotion. He insisted, “That’s a realistic target because the gap isn’t too big to make up. We’ve still got two-thirds of the season to catch the teams above us, and the top two (Southend and Huddersfield) are capable of being beaten. The important thing is to keep winning games and see where it takes us, rather than worrying about the points difference."

"On our day we’re a match for anyone in this division, so we’ve got to stop giving sides a lifeline. It’s going to be very difficult at Scunthorpe because they are decent going forward and have had a pretty good season so far. But they aren’t blessed with a lot of pace at the back. I like to think Andy Liddell, Chris Porter and Paul Warne will be quick enough to cause them problems.”
