More fans to have input into Boundary Park

A group of Oldham Athletic fans on a Latics message board got fed up of constantly moaning on to each other about what was wrong with their clubs's activities and the running of the club, both on and off the field. That's what message boards are for - to let off steam in a constructive way that doesn't have an effect on the field - aren't they?

This group of 'whingers' decided to take it a step further and form an action group to see if they could find a way of instigating some of their suggestions that would help to alleviate some of their frustration. They collated a series of questions for the club and, led by a couple known as 'Sarah & Steve', they arranged to meet with Oldham Athletic's CEO, Alan Hardy. Mr. Hardy was very open and eager to collaborate with the group who had wished to advise him that there were fans who had queries, suggestions and comments with regard to the running of Oldham Athletic Football Club.

The aim of the group is to give the supporters another voice at Boundary Park and both parties saw it as a win-win situation with the goal to open up better lines of communication between the club and it's best commodity, the fans.

The first meeting was arranged and took place on Tuesday 17th November 2009 and the outcome was that further meetings will now be arranged on a quarterly basis and feedback will be provided to those who sign up for the new ‘Latics Newsletter’.

A mailing list has been created which will allow all subscribed Latics fans to have input to future meetings. Also included with the 'news items' in the Newsletter will be special offers to the subscribers. To subscribe or learn more please visit this link  Newsletter Subscription
