More takeover rumours

Rumours still abound Boundary Park regarding a take-over and possible management changes. Several potential new managers have been named after Abdallah Lemsagan was reported to be ‘investing’ in the Latics. The latest name to enter the fray is that of Pablo Correa who was recently sacked from French Ligue 2 side AS Nancy. It tends to fuel the reason for so many French players being recently signed. Still, everything is under cloaks with no official statement coming from the club. The new investor is apparently a friend of chairman Simon Corney and Mr. Corney has stated many times that he would only sell out to the right person who has the interest of the club at heart.

Manager John Sheridan, who began the season with six losses (excluding the Mickey Mouse cup), has seen his new squad pick up fours points from the last two away matches at Fleetwood Town and Bristol Rovers. A French website claims that Oldham Athletic are ‘very interested’ in bringing the ex-Uruguayan striker to turn things around at Boundary Park. Many fans still back John Sheridan who has performed near miracles in the last two season by taking than from almost relegation to safety. It’s a tough call but any new owner has every right to bring in his own management team so only time will tell how this latest development will end.
