Ex- Latics midfielder Paul Murray has joined Gretna on a one year deal. Muzza recently left Carlisle United and will rejoin ex-Latics boss Mick Wadsworth who is currently Gretna's Director of Club Development. Gretna have just been promoted as Champions to the Scottish Premier League after a rapid rise from Scottish non-league football.

Wadsworth gave Murray his debut as a 17 year old at Carlisle and said, "Paul is a terrific player and will be a great asset to the club. His determination matches his ability and I know he will bring a lot to the squad. He has played at the highest level and I'm delighted to be working with him again."

Murray has recently fought back from a serious knee injury and made 14 appearances at Brunton Park last season, scoring one goal.
